The German index has turned its focus entirely towards global risk appetite and data coming from the US due to the lack of significant data flow in the Eurozone. Yesterday's weak US data has created a balance by pressuring the index with recession concerns on one hand while increasing hopes that the Fed may ease its monetary policy on the other. This balance may change with the JOLTS data to be released today. If the data supports the "soft landing" (moderate slowdown) scenario, it could positively affect the index, whereas triggering fears of a "hard landing" (sharp slowdown) could lead to selling.
