Altinay Defense Boosts Technological Solutions Offerings with Two Key Partnerships
Foreks - Altınay Defense Technologies, one of Turkey's strong players in the defense industry, has strengthened its claim to provide technological solutions in strategic areas with two significant agreements. Following a full ownership agreement at its subsidiary DASAL, it signed a collaboration agreement with Netaş at its other subsidiary TAAC, combining forces in the defense industry.
Enis Ata, General Manager of TAAC, stated, “We have a wide product range aimed at meeting the needs for landing gear, flight control actuators, and high-tech testing systems for platforms developed in our country, especially in the aviation sector where TAAC operates. Our collaboration with Netaş will be an important step towards meeting the needs of our defense industry and will expand our pool of local solutions.”
Altınay Defense Technologies has made strategic contributions towards the localization goal of the defense industry, signing two important agreements at SAHA EXPO 2024, which took place from October 22-26 this year. Last week, a strategic agreement was signed with ASELSAN, granting Altınay full ownership of its subsidiary DASAL. Furthermore, a significant move was made at its other subsidiary, TAAC Aviation Technologies, by signing a collaboration agreement with Netaş.
This agreement represents a critical step for the future of the defense and aerospace industry, promoting the development of high-tech critical products that will increase the domestic rate in significant projects for our country and reduce dependency on foreign resources.
After the agreement, Enis Ata, Member of the Board of Altınay Defense Technologies and General Manager of TAAC, expressed, “As the Altınay Defense Group, we had a highly productive SAHA EXPO 24. Following DASAL, we also took a strategic step at TAAC. We have a wide product range aimed at meeting the needs for landing gear, flight control actuators, and high-tech testing systems for platforms developed in our country within the aviation sector that TAAC operates. Despite being a young company, we are a significant player on a global scale with the capabilities we developed in a very short time. Our collaboration with Netaş will be a crucial step towards meeting the needs of our defense industry and expanding our local solution pool."
Ata expressed pride in contributing to Turkey's localization goal in the defense sector, stating, “We succeeded in developing the landing gear for our National Combat Aircraft KAAN within a very ambitious timeline. Our proud project, the HÜRJET Iron Bird Test System, which is one of the most sophisticated aviation test systems developed in our country to date, offers a fully equipped testing environment, allowing all subsystems of aircraft to be tested on the ground and in real flight conditions. Thus, the pre-flight tests of HÜRJET, our country's first domestically-produced jet training and light attack aircraft, have been successfully carried out on the Iron Bird Test Systems developed by TAAC engineers. TAAC continues to enhance its strength through collaborations and we believe that our agreement with Netaş will take TAAC further.”
Sinan Dumlu, CEO of Netaş, emphasized that such partnerships in the defense sector significantly contribute to Turkey's technological independence goals and enhance its competitiveness internationally.
