Netaş and TAAC Join Forces for the Defense Industry
Netaş (IS:NETAS) and TAAC Havacılık Teknolojileri San. ve Tic. A.Ş. have signed a crucial collaboration for the future of the defense and aviation industry during the SAHA EXPO fair, held from October 22 to 26 this year. This agreement aims to contribute to increasing the domestic production rate in the defense industry and providing technological solutions in strategic areas.
The scope of the cooperation between Netaş and TAAC, which have carried out many projects together in the past, has expanded to encompass the fields of Electronics, Electromechanical Device Technologies, and Integrated System Technologies. With this collaboration, Netaş is set to play a critical role in aviation technologies and will significantly contribute to the development of systems needed for defense sector projects.
Netaş CEO Sinan Dumlu emphasized that such partnerships in the defense sector will greatly support Turkey's technological independence goals and enhance its competitiveness internationally, while Netaş R&D General Manager Ersin Öztürk highlighted that this collaboration will enhance the capacity to offer stronger and indigenous solutions in the defense sector by combining the capabilities of both companies.
TAAC General Manager Enis Ata expressed that this step taken by combining the strengths of TAAC and Netaş will make significant contributions to the development of the local defense industry.
The Deputy Minister of National Defense and NETAŞ Vice Chairman Mr. Şuay Alpay assessed the importance of the agreement for the sector, stating, "I would like to emphasize how important such partnerships are for a stronger Turkey, especially following the despicable terrorist attack on TUSAŞ. I hope this collaboration, which I believe will greatly contribute to our country's technological independence goals in the century of Turkey, will be beneficial for both companies and our nation."
