ECB/Lagarde: I Want to See Inflation Permanently Reach the 2% Target by 2025

Forex - ECB President Christine Lagarde stated in an interview with Le Monde that inflation in the Eurozone will permanently reach the European Central Bank's 2% target by 2025. Lagarde said, "Maybe we could have started intervening a few months ago. However, we have increased interest rates at an unprecedented rate and have managed to significantly reduce inflation in a short period. Now, I want to see this 2% target being permanently achieved. Unless there is a major shock, this will be the case in 2025."
