BIST 100 Index Closes the Short Day in Positive Territory

The BIST 100 index closed today at 8,945.8 points, up 0.42%, as it operated for a half day due to the Republic Day holiday. The daily trading volume in the BIST 100 was 24.55 billion TL, while the total daily trading volume of Borsa Istanbul reached 37.68 billion TL.

In this short trading day, factoring stood out with a 2.34% increase, while real estate, SME, and electricity were also among the most in-demand sectors. On the other hand, insurance, sports, and food sectors were among those that registered declines during the day. Banks also ended the day down by 0.22%.

The biggest gainers and losers in BIST 100 Within the BIST 100, (EGEEN) and (EUPWR) closed at their ceiling price, becoming the top gainers. They were followed by KONYA, (GESAN), and (CWENE). Conversely, shares of (ARCLK), (ANSGR), (AEFES), (AGHOL), and (CCOLA) were the biggest decliners today in the BIST 100.

Overall, EGEEN and EUPWR, alongside (ELITE), emerged as the top gainers on the Borsa Istanbul. (GMTAS), (SANFM), and (PCILT) experienced the most losses today.

The shares with the highest trading volume in BIST were (THYAO), (EREGL), and (TUPRS), with TUPRS standing out with nearly a 2% value increase.
