Turkey's Crude Oil Imports Decreased by 7.11% in August
Forex - Turkey's crude oil imports in August 2024 decreased by 7.11% compared to the same month last year, totaling 2 million 649 thousand 870 tons. The Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) published the "Oil Market Sector Report" for August. According to the EPDK's statement, total oil product imports increased by 1.85%, reaching 4 million 431 thousand 668 tons. The import of diesel types decreased by 22.53% to 1 million 273 thousand 878 tons. Total refinery oil product production fell by 10.9% to 3 million 111 thousand 648 tons. Diesel production decreased by 10.18% to 1 million 304 thousand 879 tons, while gasoline production increased by 5.04% to 471 thousand 999 tons. Aviation fuel production declined by 0.44% to 644 thousand 751 tons, and marine fuel production surged by 95.91% to 165 thousand 27 tons.
-Domestic Sales and Exports- In the same month, total oil product sales increased by 12.62% to 3 million 110 thousand 114 tons, with gasoline sales rising by 40.18% to 519 thousand 186 tons and diesel sales up by 9.0% to 2 million 429 thousand 967 tons. Gasoline exports decreased by 67.72% to 8 thousand 687 tons, while diesel exports increased by 42.25% to 257 thousand 192 tons. Aviation fuel exports rose by 0.42% to 574 thousand 316 tons, and marine fuel exports increased by 104.76% to 159 thousand 37 tons. Consequently, total exports reached 1 million 206 thousand 438 tons, marking an increase of 0.81%.
