The furniture industry will continue its marketing efforts in May with Saudi Arabia.
In 2024, the Turkish furniture sector achieved a remarkable foreign trade surplus of $3.5 billion. The Aegean Furniture, Paper, and Forest Products Exporters Association organized sectoral trade delegations to Saudi Arabia, Morocco, and India, facilitating 55 Turkish companies to hold 787 bilateral meetings with 158 importers. In 2025, marketing efforts will continue in Iraq, with additional plans for Saudi Arabia, the United States, Senegal, Ghana, and India later in the year.
Ali Fuat Gürle, President of the Aegean Furniture Exporters Association, highlighted the importance of the International Competitiveness Development (UR-GE) projects backed by the Ministry of Commerce, aimed at enhancing the region's furniture exports. The new "Aegean Furniture" UR-GE project, approved in March 2024 with 34 participating companies, focuses on market research, brand management, and digital marketing training to boost export shares.
