Administrative fines have been imposed on companies operating in the power transformer sector, including Astor Enerji and Ulusoy Elektrik.

The investigation into enterprises operating in the power transformer sector has concluded. The Competition Authority announced that the investigation aimed at determining whether certain companies engaged in the power and distribution transformer, as well as cell and concrete kiosk sectors, violated Article 4 of the Law No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition. This inquiry was conducted based on several Competition Authority decisions from July 13, 2023, September 28, 2023, and May 9, 2024.

In the meeting on March 13, 2025, the Authority decided to impose administrative fines on these companies due to coordinated pricing and collusion in sales. SEM Transformer AŞ admitted to the violation and received a reduced fine of 42,379,948.55 TL. Other companies like Astor Enerji AŞ and EFG Elektrik Enerji AŞ received substantial fines as well, while certain firms were exempted from penalties.
