Pablo Hernández de Cos Appointed New CEO of BIS

The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) Board of Directors today announced the appointment of Pablo Hernández de Cos as the next General Manager. Hernández de Cos, whose appointment will take effect on July 1, 2025, previously served as the Governor of the Bank of Spain from 2018 until June 2024. He will succeed Agustín Carstens, whose term as General Manager will end in June 2025.
