Yardeni Raises S&P 500 Target to 10,000 by 2030

In a note sent to clients, Ed Yardeni, the president of Yardeni Research, stated that he expects the S&P 500 to reach 6,100 by the end of 2024, which would be about 2% above current levels. He further predicted that the index would reach 7,000 by the end of 2025, 8,000 by the end of 2026, and 10,000 by the end of the decade. Yardeni had previously indicated in an interview with Yahoo Finance that he predicted the S&P 500 would reach 8,000 by the end of the decade.

Yardeni mentioned, “There’s certainly a more business-friendly administration coming in that will reduce taxes. Not just for corporations, but for individuals as well. A wide variety of tax cuts are being discussed. And in addition to that, there are numerous deregulations.” In his note, Yardeni wrote that the market shows early signs that "animal spirits" are coming into play.
