Toyota Aims to Boost Production in China

Toyota aims to produce at least 2.5 million vehicles annually in China by 2030. According to sources close to the matter, Toyota plans to revise its strategy and production plans to bring its sales and production operations in China closer together, providing local managers with greater flexibility in development. It is suggested that Toyota aims to increase production in China to 3 million vehicles by the end of the decade. In 2022, Toyota set a record by producing 1.84 million vehicles in China. The new production target represents a 63% increase compared to the record set in 2022. Toyota produced 1.75 million vehicles in China in 2023.
