LG Energy Solution Signs 5-Year Battery Supply Agreement with Rivian

LG Energy Solution (LGES) of South Korea has announced that its subsidiary, LG Energy Solution Arizona, has signed a battery supply agreement with the US-based electric vehicle manufacturer Rivian. According to the announcement, under the agreement, LGES will supply Rivian with a total of 67 GWh of advanced 4695 cylindrical batteries for over five years, which are also provided to Tesla, General Motors, and Hyundai Motor. The batteries will be produced at the company’s independent battery facility in Arizona and will be used in Rivian's R2 model for the North American market.
