Kontrolmatik to Collaborate with German Wind Turbine Manufacturer on Energy Storage Solutions

POMEGA Energy Storage Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mühendislik A.Ş. (KONTR), has entered into a significant collaboration in the energy sector with Nordex Energy Inc., a leading wind turbine manufacturer based in Germany. The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding for an initiative that positions them among the pioneers of the industry.

Under the agreement, the long-standing wind energy experience of Nordex will be combined with POMEGA's advanced LFP battery technology knowledge and production capacity to develop innovative projects. It is planned to further strengthen production capabilities in Turkey and Germany through this collaboration.

Nordex announced plans to establish Wind Integrated Storage facilities with a total capacity of 5 GWh globally. These facilities aim to enhance the efficiency of renewable energy sources and offer flexible solutions to energy demands.

As part of this strategic partnership, POMEGA agreed to allocate a production capacity equivalent to the capacity determined under the agreement to Nordex's projects by June 30, 2025. This period can be extended based on mutual agreement, enabling the long-term realization of projects.

Another significant goal of the joint venture is to secure financing from Europe for the wind farm projects that integrate storage. This will provide investors with opportunities to utilize export credit funds sourced from Europe, thus facilitating project financing.

This collaboration aims not only to enhance the technological capacities of the companies but also to make renewable energy more accessible and sustainable while establishing a significant presence in the European market. It is believed that this integration could have significant impacts in the energy sector.
