Ministry of Trade: 29 Cities Exported Over $1 Billion from January to October
Forex - From January to October, 29 cities exported over 1 billion dollars.
In the announcement made by the Ministry of Trade, it was stated:
"By October 2024, the main data regarding export statistics by activity provinces compared to the same month of the previous year are as follows:
In October 2024, compared to the same month of the previous year, by activity provinces in exports;
• Istanbul is in the first place with a decrease of 6.9% and 5 billion 81 million dollars, • Kocaeli is in the second place with an increase of 15.9% and 2 billion 841 million dollars, • Izmir is in the third place with a decrease of 15.0% and 1 billion 758 million dollars.

Export Shares by Activity Provinces in October 2024 In October 2024, the top three provinces with the highest exports are Istanbul, Kocaeli, and Izmir. • Istanbul province made the highest exports in the chapter 71 Precious or semi-precious stones (714 million 640 thousand dollars), followed by 61 Knitted or crocheted articles and accessories (550 million 862 thousand dollars) and 84 Boilers, machinery (494 million 38 thousand dollars). • Kocaeli province made the highest exports in the chapter 87 Motor vehicles (1 billion 58 million 407 thousand dollars), followed by 27 Mineral fuels, mineral oils (259 million 198 thousand dollars) and 85 Electrical machines and appliances (184 million 144 thousand dollars). • Izmir province made the highest exports in the chapter 27 Mineral fuels, mineral oils (316 million 539 thousand dollars), followed by 84 Boilers and machinery (168 million 591 thousand dollars) and 72 Iron and steel (133 million 858 thousand dollars). When looking at the distribution of the top three exporting provinces by countries in October 2024; • Istanbul province exported the most to the United States (577 million 525 thousand dollars), followed by Germany (309 million 537 thousand dollars) and the United Arab Emirates (249 million 659 thousand dollars). • Kocaeli province exported the most to the United Kingdom (295 million 676 thousand dollars), followed by Germany (199 million 228 thousand dollars) and Slovenia (159 million 204 thousand dollars). • Izmir province exported the most to Germany (189 million 818 thousand dollars), followed by the Netherlands (122 million 860 thousand dollars) and the United States (119 million 80 thousand dollars).
