Seasonally Adjusted CPI Increased by 2.51% in October
In October, seasonally adjusted consumer prices remained slightly below the inflation rate announced yesterday. The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) released the data for seasonally adjusted consumer prices for the month of October. Accordingly, seasonally adjusted consumer prices increased by 2.51% compared to the previous month. The monthly increase in consumer prices announced yesterday was 2.88%, which was above the market expectation of 2.53%.
Seasonally adjusted energy, food and non-alcoholic beverages, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products, and gold excluded, the Consumer Price Index (C index) increased by 2.43% in the same month, while the Consumer Price Index excluding unprocessed food products, energy, alcoholic beverages and tobacco, and gold (B index) increased by 2.39%. The C index and B index were announced as 2.79% and 2.69% respectively yesterday.
