Wage Growth Slows in September Across the UK
Forex - Wages in the UK rose at a slower pace in September, paving the way for further interest rate cuts by the BoE.
Average weekly earnings in the UK, excluding bonuses, increased by 4.8% year-on-year in the three-month period ending in September, down from a 4.9% increase in the previous period.
According to the Office for National Statistics, this rate represents the slowest growth since the second quarter of June 2022.
The unemployment rate rose to 4.3% during this period, contributing to signs of easing in the UK labor market.
