BIST 100 Kicks Off the Day with a Partial Decline: Which Stocks Stood Out at Opening?

The BIST 100 index started the day with a decline of 0.25%, at 9,253.94 points. The BIST 100 closed yesterday's trading with an increase of 1% at 9,276.78 points, bringing the index close to the $270 level in dollar terms. The daily trading volume in the BIST 100 remained high at 95.8 billion TL, accounting for approximately 77% of the total volume. Yesterday, 63 stocks rose while 35 stocks fell within the index.

As trading in Borsa Istanbul began, a weak trend continued, with construction and transportation sectors opening the day with nearly 1% increases. In contrast, information technology, retail, and paper sectors saw declines around 2%, making them the biggest losers at the opening.

In Borsa Istanbul overall, ISGSY, COSMO, and RYSAS stocks reached their upper price limit in the first hour. KFEIN, ARASE, and DURDO were the biggest decliners at the opening.

In the domestic foreign exchange market, the dollar/TL started the day with an increase of around 0.15%, reaching 34.37. Euro/TL, on the other hand, decreased by 0.1%, trading at 36.55. Gold in grams fell by nearly 1%, declining to the level of 2,870 TL.

In international markets, Asian indices showed a bearish trend today. While US and European stocks continued their rise yesterday, it was observed that futures indices were also moving negatively in the morning hours.
